Where we come from

Founded in 2023, Cambridge Bay State is a nonprofit organization representing the Central, East, North, and West leagues. We field competitive summer baseball teams across all age groups, bringing together players from all four leagues to compete throughout Eastern Massachusetts. Many of our alumni go on to play in the Lou Tompkins League for ages 13–18.

As the 2026 season comes to a close, we thank our coaches, team managers, and families for their dedication and support in making another great season possible.

Introducing Cambridge Club Baseball

Based on feedback from families, we're exploring the launch of a Cambridge Club Baseball program for 2026–27 that complements our local leagues while expanding opportunities for player development, professional instruction, and competitive play. Players would continue with their Little League or Babe Ruth teams, with schedules and pitching carefully coordinated to minimize conflicts and reduce the risk of overuse injuries—building on the success of our 10U Cambridge AAU pilot in Spring 2026.

We've identified a partner that supports club baseball programs in communities like ours with indoor training facilities, experienced coaches, and access to Perfect Game leagues and tournaments. Here's what we're envisioning.

What's included

  • Fall skills sessions on Cambridge fields, 1x/week (Sept–Oct)
  • Winter training with pro coaches, indoor facility in Stoneham, 2x/week (Nov–March)
  • Spring league play, Perfect Game New England, weekend doubleheaders (April–June)
  • Two local tournaments, no overnight travel

Winter training is essential, but Cambridge currently lacks an adequate indoor facility. While our partner provides indoor training in Stoneham, we're also advocating for a local facility to better serve Cambridge players.
